barbeque

Tonight, students and I had a barbeque! It was fun. It's amazing how God directed our sharing and worship to thanksgiving. As the students gave thanks for blessings in their lives,I'm encouraged. And I'm just reminded how blessed I am too, though there are like a dozen things I can whine and complain about. Well, I guess I'm ready for the Chinese New Year with a heart of thanksgiving. And I think that makes alot of difference to me. Xin Nian Kuai Le!:)

praying in a taxi stand

On Monday, some RP students and I had dinner at Plaza Sing and because it was too noisy one of them suggested that we go out to pray. He said he knew a quiet place nearby and so we followed him. After walking about 5-10min, we reached a small taxi stand which was wet because of the rain...and we stood and prayed for one another. It was a fresh experience of prayer.. I haven't prayed in a taxi stand before, except when I needed patience in the long queue haa.. Well, that's something I'll remember whenever I'm in a taxi stand I guess:)

Do they see Jesus in me

Happened to see the vcd song cover with a pretty face, flipped over and saw a song entitled "Do they see Jesus in Me". Coolz, what a surprise to know that she's a God-chick! The album is a refreshing mix of rock and ballad, , particularly like the last song which goes.. Is the face that I see in the mirror The one I want others to see Do I show in the way I walk in my life the love that you've given to me my heart desires to be like you in all that I do all that I am Do they see Jesus in me.. http://www.forward.com.tw/rebecca/act.htm

Gearing for Global Village Proj!

Image
With 7 other students, I'll be setting off in Mar to Sarawak for a Global Village Project where we will be helping to build a house for the poor. So, to prepare ourselves, we went for a Treetop Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir this morning. It was fun walking about 8K together, stepping on muddy ground dampened by the rain:)
