What God is giving
There are many times especially recently I felt I did not have what I asked of God. What happened to "and he will give whatever you ask in His name"? Yes the "good and obedient" side of me tries to convince my soul that it is for the sake of growing, disciplining and part and parcel of the Cross. Yet honestly, carnality wins with the vote that says "I don't deserve it". As the battle goes on in my mind, I heard something over podcast by John Eldredge in which he said "It is not what God is not giving, but what He gives." Like a bolt in my heart, it struck me that I had been demanding God to give me things and in the process missed out what God is giving or already given. It's a whole new perspective to think about what God is giving.. hmm
